H.R. 5741: Mandatory Service Bill Being Debated

Some people call it slavery, other people “mandatory service.” Whatever your take, bill H.R. 5741 is currently being debated in the House of Representatives, and if you are between the ages of 18-42, could directly impact your life for two years.

The Daily Contributor reports that the bill would require for people between the ages of 18-42 to give two years of mandatory service to the government, “either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security.” (You can read the bill H.R. 5741 in its entirety here.)
